ANGEL’S ENVY is a Louisville-based craft distiller that produces finished whiskeys. Co-founded in 2010 by the late Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson and his son Wes Henderson, it began as a passion project that combined their family’s deep-rooted passion for and knowledge of the industry with an innovative outlook on bourbon making and finishing. Today, the ANGEL’S ENVY team continues to produce its award-winning core offerings – a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels and a Rye Whiskey Finished in Caribbean Rum Casks – as well as a variety of innovative, special releases.
ANGEL’S ENVY opened the doors to its Brand Home, the first full-production whiskey distillery in downtown Louisville, in 2016.
Built in 2017 and open to visitors in 2019, Bulleit Distilling Co. leads the industry with its state-of-the-art technology and offers a portfolio distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition, using a distinctive high-rye recipe which gives our whiskeys a bold, spicy taste.
Originally opened on Derby Day in 1935 and reopened to the public in 2014, the Stitzel-Weller Distillery is one of the true cathedrals of the American whiskey industry. The Stitzel-Weller Experience is one of the most convenient and impressive stops along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. Stitzel-Weller focuses on Blade and Bow, I.W. Harper, Orphan Barrel bourbons and other North American Whiskey innovations from Diageo. Guest experiences include tours, historic behind-the-scenes access, tastings and mixology classes. In 2021, the Garden & Gun Club opened at the distillery. The destination cocktail bar, inspired by Garden & Gun Magazine’s hospitality franchise, is located on the second floor of the Stitzel-Weller Distillery offering a unique food and drink experience along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.
Since it was established in 1940, the Wild Turkey brand has remained one of the most iconic names in bourbon. Helmed by the legendary father-and-son Master Distilling team of Jimmy and Eddie Russell, who have nearly 100 years of combined distilling experience, the Wild Turkey Distilling Co. has been making bourbon the same way for over 80 years. The brand’s stunning homeplace, the Wild Turkey Distillery, is located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, atop a deep limestone shelf situated along the Kentucky River. This unique experience begins with a dram of Cavehill, our 4-grain Kentucky Straight Bourbon and culminates in our awe-inspiring Overlook lounge with a tasting* of 4 of our award-winning spirits.

The Green River Distillery, now restored to its former glory, is flowing with Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a glowing, amber example of Kentucky craftsmanship. It’s a rounder, smoother, higher rye bourbon whiskey blend made with corn grown in the same Kentucky countryside and the same limestone-filtered water that J.W. McCulloch used in his secret recipe, aged at least four years under the same warm Kentucky sun.
As founders of Heaven Hill Distillery®, the Shapira family has been at the helm of the largest independent, family-owned and operated distillery in America since 1935. Enjoy interactive exhibits, a working rickhouse and stand inside the world’s largest Bourbon barrel as you taste three nationally-acclaimed American Whiskeys, each from a different mashbill.
In 2019 Michter’s Fort Nelson Distillery opened its doors after almost 7 years of renovation. An architectural gem in the heart of downtown Louisville, Michter’s Fort Nelson Distillery is down the block from the Frazier History museum, which has been designated the official welcome center to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and across the street from Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. Visitors can enjoy tours and tastings and will have the opportunity to see whiskey produced on the legendary pot still and cypress wood fermenter system from Michter’s Pennsylvania Distillery, which traces its history back to 1753. The second floor of the building features The Bar at Fort Nelson, which offers world class cocktails. Cocktail historian and author David Wondrich consulted on The Bar at Fort Nelson’s classic offerings.
Alltech founder, Dr. Pearse Lyons, acquired the 200-year-old Lexington Brewing Company in 1999, resurrecting a brewing and distilling tradition that dates back to 1794. Offering the unique distinction of being both a brewery and distillery, experience the world-famous “brewstillery” in the heart of downtown Lexington.
Wilderness Trail Distillery, located on 163 acres in Danville, KY, is a family-owned business that began in 2012. Co-owners Shane Baker and Pat Heist use their love of whiskey and 28+ years of fermentation expertise to make some of the Kentucky’s Finest Bourbon Whiskey. Wilderness Trail prides itself on locally-sourced grains, its sweet mash process, low-barrel proof entry and non-chill-filtered whiskeys. They focus on the science behind Bourbon making and enjoy sharing their knowledge with Bourbon Trail visitors.
