KO Distilling is a craft distillery located in Manassas, Virginia. Co-Founders Bill Karlson and John O’Mara (the “K” and “O” in KO) met at the US Merchant Marine Academy. Both were Navy Reservists, had successful careers, and retired early. Neither being content to sit idle, in 2013 KO Distilling began its journey to create craft spirits with local ingredients and high-quality methods. Bill and John’s backgrounds in engineering inspired advanced distilling processes. Their passion for great spirits continues to drive attention to detail and quality.

Catoctin Creek® was founded by Becky and Scott Harris in 2009 as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since before Prohibition. We are located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Virginia is the birthplace of American whiskey, and at Catoctin Creek, we faithfully dedicate ourselves to that tradition, producing Virginia’s most awarded whisky—Roundstone Rye!

8 Shires Distillery is a small craft distillery in the Historic Triangle of Williamsburg Virginia.
Our mission at 8 Shires Coloniale Distillery is to research, preserve, teach, and present the history of distillation from the Colonial American Period, the years 1578 – 1797.
Our spirits are hand-crafted using historic recipes and ingredients of the 17th and 18th century.
A. Smith Bowman Distillery
A. Smith Bowman’s distilling roots date back to the years before Prohibition when the Bowman family had a granary and dairy farm in Sunset Hills, Virginia. As a small and privately owned company, A. Smith Bowman Distillery continues the time-honored traditions on which it was founded. As Virginia’s oldest and most award-winning distillery, its various brands have earned numerous prestigious awards over the years, including John J. Bowman Single Barrel, which received a double gold medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Falls Church Distillers
Falls Church Distillers is an award-winning distillery founded by The Paluzzi family and located in the Virginia suburbs just outside of the Nation’s Capital. Michael and son Lorenzo opened Falls Church Distillers to follow a heritage passion. Michael grew up in the northeastern part of the Country in a small town that was predominately populated by Italian immigrants whose customs not only include great food and art, but also the making of wine and liquors. As a uniquely licensed distillery, we invite you to stay awhile and enjoy some of our partner craft brews, seasonally varied libations and all in the craft environment that is a small batch distillery.
MurLarkey Distilled Spirits
Starting with a meager 23-gallon copper still and a dream, second-generation Irish-American cousins Tom Murray, Mike and Jim Larkin, along with a small team of friends and family, set out to create a legacy. Today MurLarkey is leading the VA Craft scene, garnering over 40 international spirits awards and tasting room experience. Named twice a best distillery in Travel & Leisure’s “The 25 Best Distilleries in the US”, MurLarkey is an icon of the Virginia Spirits Trail.
Reservoir Distillery
No matter what a distillery’s methodology is, it’s what’s inside each barrel that truly matters.
Established in 2008 in Richmond, Virginia, Reservoir was the third bourbon-whiskey distillery started outside of Kentucky.
As a small-batch distillery, we take pride in creating award-winning spirits. All of our grains come from within 45 miles of the distillery and every product we make is crafted, aged and bottled by Reservoir.
We believe in “creating your own tradition,” honoring the fact that everyone has a unique palate, and have created whiskeys to allow everyone to discover, create and customize their own blend.
